Nature of the Service

Awoo Ride is a technology platform that connects users with independent couriers who provide delivery services. Awoo Ride does not itself carry out deliveries.

Use of the Service

This service is strictly for the delivery of items. Users are not permitted to travel with any delivery arranged through the platform.

Courier Assignment

Delivery requests are made available to nearby couriers, who may choose to accept them. The courier completing the delivery may differ from the one initially displayed in the app.

Delivery Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

• Providing accurate pickup and delivery details.

• Ensuring the recipient is available to receive the item.

If the recipient is unavailable:

• The courier may leave the item at the delivery address in a reasonable and safe location where appropriate.

• Alternatively, the delivery may be returned to the sender and additional charges may apply.

Prohibited Items

You must not send:

• Illegal or stolen goods.

• Drugs or controlled substances.

• Weapons or hazardous materials.

• Flammable or dangerous items.

• Items requiring special licences or handling.

• Any item prohibited under Irish or EU law.

Any suspected illegal activity may be reported to relevant authorities.

Packaging and Labelling

You are responsible for ensuring that:

• Items are securely packaged.

• Items are clearly labelled with recipient details.

• The correct order number is attached where required.

Awoo Ride and couriers are not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging.

Proof of Delivery

Couriers may collect proof of delivery, which may include:

• Photographs of the item at pickup and/or delivery.

• Confirmation of order number.

• Delivery confirmation through the platform.

This serves as evidence that the delivery has been completed.

Liability

Awoo Ride acts as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for:

• Loss, theft, or damage to items during delivery.

• Delays or failed deliveries outside its control.

• Incorrect or incomplete information provided by users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awoo Ride’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the delivery.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

User Responsibility

You agree that:

• You are solely responsible for the contents of your delivery.

• You will not use the platform for unlawful purposes.

• You will comply with all applicable laws.

Failed Deliveries and Returns

If delivery cannot be completed:

• The courier may follow safe drop procedures where appropriate.

• Items may be returned to the sender.

• Item delivery may be reschedule at a later time at the request of the customer.

• Additional charges may apply.

Reporting and Enforcement

Awoo Ride reserves the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts.

• Investigate misuse of the platform

• Report suspected illegal activity to law enforcement

Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Irish law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Irish cour.
